Re-Vamping my Cedar Chest

This cedar chest was given to me from my parents upon graduating from High School. I decided to see if I could make it a little more appealing for my entryway with a new coat of paint in an heirloom white and spray painted the hardware a brushed nickel. I love the results.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Tracy! I love yours, and am excited to know you have one.

This does look so incredible! I have so many dressers a hutch, and I'm thinking of doing my kitchen table, just like this! Did you sand and prime? Was this chest solid wood? Or did you have any laminant on it? Most of my projects have a thin laminate on them (kind of like formica), and I wonder how that would turn out? Great job!
